ಶ್ರೀ ಶಿವ ಚಾಲೀಸಾ (ಕನ್ನಡ) ಅರ್ಥಸಹಿತ
ದೋಹಾ
ಜೈ ಗಣೇಶ ಗಿರಿಜಾ ಸುವಾನ್, ಮಂಗಲ್ ಮೂಲ ಸುಜನ್।
ಕಹತ್ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾ ದಾಸ್, ದೇಹು ಅಭಯ ವರದಾನ್॥
ಅರ್ಥ:
ಹೇ ಗಣೇಶನೇ, ನೀವು ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ದೇವಿಯ ಪುತ್ರರು, ಮಂಗಳದ ಮೂಲ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾದಾಸನು ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಭಯತೆಯ ವರವನ್ನು ಬೇಡುತ್ತಾನೆ।

ಜೈ ಗಿರಿಜಾ ಪತಿ ದೀನ ದಯಾಳ,
ಸದಾ ಸಂತರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನು॥
ಭಾಲ್ ಚಂದ್ರನಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿಸುವ,
ಕಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗಕುಂಡಲ ಧರಿಸಿದವನು॥
ದೇಹ ಭಸ್ಮದಿಂದ ಅಲಂಕರಿಸಿದ,
ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದವನು॥
ಮುಂಡಮಾಲ ಧರಿಸಿದ ಶಂಭು,
ವ್ಯಾಘ್ರ ಚರ್ಮದ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಹೊದ್ದವನು॥
ನಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಮುನಿಗಳು ಸೇವಿಸುವ,
ತಾಯಿ ಪಾರ್ವತಿಯ ಪ್ರಿಯತಮನು॥
ಎಡಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಮಾದೇವಿ,
ಅದ್ಭುತ ರೂಪದಿಂದ ಶೋಭಿಸುವವನು॥
ತ್ರಿಶೂಲ ಹಿಡಿದ ಭಯಂಕರ,
ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವವನು॥
ನಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಗಣೇಶ ಶೋಭಿಸುವ,
ಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಮಲದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುವರು॥
ಕಾರ್ತಿಕೇಯ ಮತ್ತು ಗಣಪತಿ ಜೊತೆ,
ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗದು॥
ದೇವರುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವಾಗ,
ತಕ್ಷಣ ಅವರ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸುವವನು॥
ತಾರಕಾಸುರನು ಉಪದ್ರವ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ,
ದೇವರುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು॥
ನೀನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನೀಡಿದ,
ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುವನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದವನು॥
ಜಲಂಧರ ರಾಕ್ಷಸನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ,
ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ॥
ತ್ರಿಪುರಾಸುರನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ,
ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದವನು॥
ಭಗೀರಥನ ತಪಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿ,
ಗಂಗೆಯನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ತಂದವನು॥
ದಾನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಾದ,
ಭಕ್ತರ ಕೋರಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವವನು॥
ವೇದಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹಾಡುತ್ತವೆ,
ಆದರೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತತ್ತ್ವ ಅರಿಯಲಾಗದು॥
ಸಮುದ್ರ ಮಂಥನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷ ಬಂದಾಗ,
ದೇವರು ಮತ್ತು ದಾನವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು॥
ನೀನು ಕರುಣೆಯಿಂದ ವಿಷವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದು,
ನೀಲಕಂಠನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಪಡೆದವನು॥
ರಾಮನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದಾಗ,
ಲಂಕೆಯನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿ ವಿಭೀಷಣನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು॥
ಸಹಸ್ರ ಕಮಲಗಳಿಂದ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ,
ನೀನು ಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ॥
ಒಂದು ಕಮಲ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾದಾಗ,
ಭಕ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಸಿದ್ಧನಾದನು॥
ಶಂಕರನು ಸಂತೋಷಗೊಂಡು,
ಭಕ್ತನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ವರ ನೀಡಿದನು॥
ಜೈ ಜೈ ಜೈ ಅನಂತ ಅವಿನಾಶಿ,
ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೂ ಕೃಪೆ ಮಾಡುವವನು॥
ದುಷ್ಟರು ನನಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ,
ನನಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ॥
ಹೇ ನಾಥನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ,
ಈ ಸಂಕಟದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸು॥
ತ್ರಿಶೂಲದಿಂದ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ,
ನನ್ನ ಸಂಕಟಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡು॥
ತಾಯಿ ತಂದೆ ಸಹೋದರರು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲಾರರು,
ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ॥
ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಕರುಣೆ ತೋರಿ,
ನನ್ನ ದುಃಖವನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡು॥
ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಫಲ ನೀಡುವವನು,
ಭಕ್ತರ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವವನು॥
ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಿ,
ನನ್ನ ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸು॥
ಶಂಕರನು ಸಂಕಟಗಳ ನಾಶಕ,
ವಿಘ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರ ಮಾಡುವವನು॥
ಯೋಗಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮುನಿಗಳು ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುವರು,
ನಾರದ ಮತ್ತು ಸರಸ್ವತಿ ನಮನ ಮಾಡುವರು॥
ನಮೋ ನಮೋ ಜೈ ನಮಃ ಶಿವಾಯ,
ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆ ಅಪಾರವಾಗಿದೆ॥
